Gateway Global was established in 1998 and manufactures die-cast scale model cars for distribution worldwide under the brand names AUTOart and Gate. Gateway Global currently exports in the region of 100,000 units of high quality, die-cast model cars per month. The company is licensed by most of the car manufacturers in the world to manufacture perfect miniature replicas of their vehicles in die-cast zinc alloy. Whilst demand is highest for models made to 1:18 scale, the company also produces to 1:12, 1:24, 1:32, 1:43 and 1:64 scale. With sufficient tooling capacity for running production from 600 sets of moulds, the factory is able to launch between 50 and 100 new models each year depending on the complexity and scale of each item. The company's highest quality products are marketed under the AUTOart brand name and retail at between US$50 and US$300. the brand has often been praised by hobby magazines as being responsible for producing some of the best quality model cars to 1:18 scale at their respective price points.
