Sanlin embroidery evolves from Gu embroidery of Fine and Elegance, and Gu embroidery was founded by Gu ming shi family in Ming Dynasty. Many famous paintings in Songyuan dynasty were widely used as Gu embroidery’s themes, and Gu embroidery reaches a high artstic level, the color is harmonious & bright, the stich is flexible, the flavor is vivid, and the representatives of Gu embroidery are liaoshi, hanximeng and Gulanyu, their embroidery artworks were usually used for decrorating hallls and presenting to their friends.
