AEC is committed to providing quality professional counselling to Hong Kong students about study options in Australia, and providing quality services to Australian institutions. AEC was established in 1987 as private education agency providing information and placement services for Hong Kong students to study in Australia. AEC is owned by the university of New South Wales, and in Hong Kong, it represents over 200 Australian institutions including schools, TAFE Colleges, Universities and ELICOS Centres. The services to students include: 1. Advise on study options 2. Application services to all levels of studies 3. Conduct AEAS test 4. Enrolment for IELTS 5. Collection of fees 6. Student Visa application service 7. Booking airline tickets 8. Arranges airport pickup and accommodation 9. Provides follow up services at initial stage For the services to Australian clients: 1. Conducts tests (AEAS and individual institution's English tests) and provide impartial and reliable information on behalf of clients. 2. Provides market intelligence on the HK market 3. Screening of students 4. Coordinates functions (such as information sessions, education exhibitions, etc at cost) 5. Arranges seminars and interviews as requested (students recruited from the activities will be AEC's students) 6. Organizes annual AEC/AEAS exhibition and interview programs 7. Acts as a communciation centre between institutions and student families
