Energy Foundation is a consumer-based independent organization to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy. Its objectives are: to promote sustainable development of energy resources and efficient consumption of energy in all of its forms; to educate consumers through publicity campaigns, educational programmes and seminars about the rights and responsibilities of consumers, the benefits of reducing energy waste, and assist residential, commercial and industrial consumers in improving energy efficiency; to advocate for policies that address customer service issues and promote national policies for the sustainable development of energy and the adoption of energy saving technologies; to strengthen the private sector, to improve economic productivity by developing and implementing energy efficiency, renewable energy and productive uses of electricity programmes and business; to undertake other energy related market research and development activities for itself and on behalf of other entities.
