Forenade Bil AB is one of the country's oldest car companies. On 4 February 1921, the limited liability company was registered with the Royal Patent and Registration Office. The address was ?stra Tullgatan 6 in Malm?. Only thirty-five years earlier, in 1886, the world's first patented automobile with an internal combustion engine, the Benz Patentwagen, had seen the light of day. In Malm?, they were as close to the events (Napoleonic Wars) in Europe as possible. And here, next to Drottningtorget, F?renade Bil established its operations. An ideal location, as close to the continent as possible, to develop business contacts in Sweden, in Europe and in the rest of the world. More of the car companies of the time came into existence and ?stra Tull became the place in Malm? where many car models from near and far got new owners. A business situation that stood strong for many decades.
