Galvanized wire is a major mesh wire ( wire material for mesh weaving or welding), binding wire and core wire. The welded mesh can be manufactured with pre-galvanized wire, then powder coated. Galvanized wire is also a ready core wire for making of powder coated wire.

Electro galvanized wire normally has a thiner zinc covering compared with hot dipped galvanized wire. It is bright at the beginning, then may become pickling or oxidized under conditions of insufficient acid or humid air within a short period of time.

Hot-dip zinc galvanized steel wire enjoys excellent corrosion resistance. Depending on zinc layer thickness, it can be used for several years or decades before heavily oxidized.

Both electro and hot dipped galvanized wire can be used individually, or to be further coated with plastic for a better property.
