A fruit species that finds its greatest concentration in the coastal countries of the Mediterranean, it adapts to the most diverse environmental conditions, from relatively cold and rainy climates to hot and dry, it prefers permeable, medium-textured, deep and warm hilly soils.
The oval-shaped fruit has a yellow-orange color often accompanied by bright red shades in some parts of the surface.
