Sodium metabisulfite is used for a fixer ingredient in the photography industry. The product can be applied for not only general photography but medical X-ray film. Sodium metabisulfite photo grade is a basic component of developer and fixer as stabilizing agent in photography.
The developing powder in the photography industry mainly consists of sodium sulfite anhydrous, sodium carbonate, potassium bromide, prednisone, and hydroquinone. The fixing powder mainly consists of sodium metabisulfite, sodium thiosulfate and sodium sulfite anhydrous.
