FOY Polyester (also called
fully oriented yarn- FDY), is produced by a process similar to POY manufacturing except that the yarn is produced at even higher spinning speeds coupled with intermediate drawing integrated in the process itself. It's used to manufacture textile fabrics without the need for further finishing. The strength is around 4.2cn/dtex and elongation between 44~49%.
It can be used for both the two processes low-speed spinning and high-speed stretch winding completed on a spinning and drawing machine. FDY fabric feels soft and smooth, often used for weaving silk fabric.
Features of Nylon 6 FDY
Strength > 4.5cn/dtex
elongation: 44-49%.?
fully stretched and ready for direct use in textile processing.
High directionality, less broken ends in production, good dyeing uniformity, and good strength.
