Uses of Diacetone Alcohol (DAA)
DAA is used as a raw material for high boiling point solvents, paint diluents, wood stains, rust removers, and dyes, etc. Diacetone alcohol boiling point
is 166 °C (331 °F; 439 K).
DAA has the chemical properties of ketones and tertiary alcohols. It will be decomposed when mixed with alkalis or heated to more than 130 ℃, which produces 2 molecules of acetone.
